Brazilian Blogging Break
Just a quick post to let you know that I will be off lounging on the beach up until Jan. 6th... so unless I happen by an internet cafe on my way to grab a mojito... posts will be few and far between.
Look forward to seeing you all again the 2007! Word on the street is that it's going to be a good one!

Stay away from the Internet cafes, it's a vacation! Have fun, and merry merry.
Have a great holiday!
So, I guess since JJ isnt here, I can do a sorta "guest posting" here and predict that the highlights of 2006 for JJ's blogsite is her a) getting to the Liberal Convention and seeing her candidate Dion winning the Liberal Leadsership, and b) having the epic 82 message thread on here.
It might also have been cool if JJ had set up her little sister to do "guest blog-host" postings at her site while she was away on vacation. I think from what I've seen JJ's little sis has enough opinions to blog about them ;)
Are you working yet in DC? Sounds like you've had an interesting career so far.
Er.. not that I should be answering for her.. but JJ already works in DC, and has for the past year.
Hi Jim,
Thanks for your comment.
Yes, it's definately been a interesting couple of years... I've been fortunate enough to live in 5 countries in about 5 years. Been in DC since last summer though...we'll see how long for... so far, my avg is 8 months in one place...
Brazil blocked YouTube!
Are you suggesting a co-relation between that and JJ taking a vacation there, Saskboy? :)
Actually Saskboy, I heard that Brazil threatened to shut down You Tube if they didn't pull the video of Daniela Cicarelli (Brazilian model and former wife of Ronaldo) having sex with her boyfriend... Not sure that's actually going to be feasible... seeing as You Tube is based in the States... and not sure how you can shut down You Tube for an entire country... unless you put some sort of China/UAE like country wide ban on the website..
The DNS entry was taken down in Brazil. The also want to fine them hundreds of thousands of dollars. Google will be unimpressed, and might decide to just block Brazil instead ;-)
Hi, it's Jim again. Scott, I know JJ is in DC, got the impression she wasn't 'working' though since the Liberals went out of office. Just wondering if she landed employment yet.
Jim
Hi Jim.
Welcome back. I actually came down to DC because I was offered a job here - so the move was employment driven - rather than total political exile drive (though I had to change jobs because I lost my old one due to the election).... Why, do you have any exciting employment opportunities in DC in mind?
Cheers,
JJ
